OPTOM 2016 rewards to an investigation of the Department of Optics, Pharmacology and Anatomy.
The investigation realised by Rebeca Llorca López, student of the Máster University in Clinical Optometry and Vision, and that constitutes his Work End of Máster, has been awarded with one of the prizes to the best scientific communication in format poster in OPTOM 2016 (international congress of optometry, contactología and ophthalmic optics), celebrated in Madrid between the 8 and on 10 April. This investigation has been directed by the professors Pilar Cacho and Ángel García, professors of the Department of Optics, Pharmacology and Anatomy of the University of Alicante, that also participate like authors in the poster.
The poster awarded was presented and defended during the congress and the congressmen had the opportunity to ask to the authors the details of the investigation. The investigation versó on the reproducibility of a new instrument of ocular analysis based in camera of Scheimpflug.
In OPTOM 2016 have presented 223 communications in poster and have participated more than 1300 congressmen. The investigation rewarded belonged to the twelve better valued by the committee of evaluadores external of the congress. The final election realised by popular vote between the twelve better works valued. The prize was sponsored by the Spanish Society of Optometry and delivered by his president, Andrés Martínez Vargas.
